Studio Skiá is a full-service interior design firm based in Long Island, NY, led by Founders and Designers, Stefani Vlasopoulos and Robin Beck Nazzaro. We specialize in crafting high-end commercial spaces and luxury residential properties.
Skiá, the Greek word for shadow, is the foundation in which we build our design philosophy. As shadows add dimension and natural beauty, helping elements emerge from their backgrounds, we do the same in the spaces we design. Rather than relying on specific color schemes or period styles, we focus on establishing dynamic relationships between the aged and the modern, the polished and the raw, nature and artifice, darkness and light. By combining these elements in surprising juxtapositions, we create interiors that are endowed not only with beauty, but also meaning and depth. Weaving together organic or natural elements, while paying attention to the five senses, and intangibles like memory and desire, we create layered, nuanced spaces that are as inspiring as they are aesthetically pleasing.
Stefani Vlasopoulos
Following a 20-year career as a celebrity stylist and designer in the fashion industry, Stefani brings her expertise into the world of interior design. Her time working at NBC’s Today show, and Paramount Global allowed Stefani to hone her creative skills as an expert on style and form, bringing her artistic vision, high level of attention to detail, and business acumen into every project she designs. Stefani has completed a wide variety of luxury residential and commercial design projects throughout Long Island, including Oyster Bay Cove, Sag Harbor, Great Neck, and Fire Island. She is recognized for her ability to design interiors that are current yet refined, blending comfort with high style. Stefani's work is defined by a core neutral color palette, focusing on texture to create contrast, dimension, and drama.
Robin Beck Nazzaro
As a veteran magazine editor and brand consultant in the fashion industry for over two decades, Robin Nazzaro seamlessly melds the worlds of fashion and interior design bringing a fresh, luxury-informed perspective to Studio Skiá. She spent eleven years as the Fashion and Accessories Director at O, The Oprah Magazine, and shortly after took the leap to marketing working as a brand and design consultant with clients including Hearst, Dove, Amazon, and Holland America. Driven by a passion for aesthetics and a desire to create more permanent and personal expressions of style, Robin has developed a keen eye for curation and identifying trends- skills that she applies to create stunning and sophisticated interiors.
